I personally will have to vote for Blondie. I always liked Debbie Harry. She has a punk disco side with a few moments of my way will always be best in between her moments of drug testing.
I respect the Pretenders, but never been a big fan.
Question: one of my students was asking me about groups whose lead singers were also their drummers. The Eagles and Genesis come to mind...Kiss when Peter Criss did "BEth", but no thers come to mind. Think about it Mr. Music trivia and let me know would ya?

Blondie were an excellent group.
Singer/Drummer thats a good one all I can think of is from the sixties "Dave Clark Five" although I think all the group had a go.
I think I saw an all girl band once where the singer was the drummer but can't recall the name.
