One Year

I've now been blogging for one year so I thought it was worth mentioning the fact. I've been looking at a few of the posts I've wrote over the year and also the comments they recieved, some interesting stuff.

I clearly remember the day I came across Regina's blog by chance and started to comment. It wasn't long before Reg and one of her blog friends "Joel DcNats" persuaded me to start my own blog. I was a little unsure at first if it was what I wanted to do but decided to give it a go.

Anyway when I got going I decided to try make a few more friends and did a number of ramdom blog searches. I got 4 or 5 regulars in the first month including two ladies that have commented ever since on a regular basis throughout, thats Rachel & Jenny and I think so much of both of them, good people I reckon.

As the year continued I just got more and more people I really like posting, ok some have dissapointingly fell by the wayside but I reckon I've just made so many friends through this blog, all great people.

Anyway to everyone that has contributed during these 12 months I'd like to "Thanks" you've all been fantastic.

The only thing sad about the internet is so often someone who you like as a blogger friend can just disappear forever.

Society creates so many reasons to keep up walls between people. There is the reality of not knowing who is on the other side of the computer. So most people take the prudent course of never actually making contact. No real names, no phone, no address, never to be a real living human friend instead of just a virtual internet friend.

I guess that is the world we live in. Someday perhaps people will live entire lives without ever meeting any real friends? All relationships will be on the internet? Will we all be online with The Matrix?

Spider, do you wish you'd swallowed the blue pill?? lol

Good on you for sticking around for a year WRB. At times in our journey, that can be a bit of a feat in itself!

It's a odd thing this blogging. I was a reader for a few years before I started my own, also at the urging of other blog friends.I have been quite amazed at the effect things have on me like comments and/or the lack of, also when people stop posting for whatever reaon. I am still a bit reserved about my identity hence why I havn't posted a photo. It's funny I'm not worried about what all my readers will think it's more about if someone I know stumb les on my blog.

I have enjoyed reading and commenting on your blog Mick over the past months and look forward to more of The World of Mick.

Its' amazing how time flies. Happy anniversary!
Bit depressed to say the least about the result last night, by all accounts we played well, just couldn't score. I was on a forum with other Leeds fans and the sense of despair, well you can feel it jump out of the words.
I know its not important in the scheme of things is it Mick, but to see how our club is, well it breaks my heart, I'm sure you feel the the same.

Spider,
Yeh it sure is dissapointing when people you consider friends (even if only online) stop blogging but you can only concern yourself with those that wish to be friends. I'll add I reckon my online friends are really nice.
In fact I've actually been lucky enough to meet a couple of them and hopfully in the future I may cross paths with others.

Cactus,
When I started I didn't really expect to be around this long but I suppose I'm now addicted.

Jenny,
Couldn't agree more, thanks.

Celtic,
I'm pleased you are on my list of blog friends.
Sometimes I wish I'd kept my blog anonymous as a lot of people I know read it.
I have to censor it quite a bit thats why I blog mainly about Music, Sport, Weight loss, Travels, etc. I try to not blog about personal and work issues which is a shame.

Oral,
I hope you make it.

Airliebird,
It has gone quickly hasn't it.
As for the soccer I reckon us with Blue, Yellow & White blood are all hurting at present. I think we would settle for 4th bottom now.
The next four matches are massive all against teams that we should be capable of beating but doing it is a different problem.
