Holiday Mood - Central Park New York

Sorry to talk Holidays again but travel is in my mind.

Last June when I was in New York I spent a full day in Central Park. I caught the subway to the North end of the park and spent the day walking south zig zagging across the park.
It is an awesome place, spend a day there and see the world go by, well worth a visit.
These are a few samples of the photos I took, hope any readers like them.

It is pretty fantastic that in a city as pressed for space as NY, where every foot of real estate is priceless, that they have parceled off this huge chunk of land smack in the middle of it to devote to beautiful green spaces, bridges, streams, trees and paths. It is really a remarkable place and your idea of just spending a whole day there is brilliant. It really is one of the best spots in the city.

Jenny,
It is great a city this size has an area like this (I believe it is 3 mile long and 1 mile wide). I would suggest anyone visiting NY should put a day to one side to visit Central Park.

BF,
I love vacations, I tend to split my opinion of places into two areas :-
Daytime - Plenty to see and do, impossible to see everything but I tried, I liked NY during the day loads to see.
Nights - I like live entertainment (music) and meeting people. NY not so good in my opinion its more of a couples place (Restaurant & Theatre).
