Sunday Sport (2) - The rest of sport

Since I dedicated my first attempt at a Sunday Sport article I thought I'd do a 2nd one to mention other things that are happening.

We'll start with Athletics and a great day for GB yesterday with two gold medals at the European Indoor Championships in Birmingham.

First up and coming starlet Nicola Sanders took the 400metre title with her best ever time.

Then Phillips Idowu fullfilled his potential taking the Triple Jump.

The big news in Cricket this week is Darren Gough is returning to his native Yorkshire. 36 year old Dazzler one on Englands finest bowlers as put away his dancing shoes (he recently won a Celebrity dance comp on telly) will captain the side in what is been dubbed a new era. Watch this space when the season arrives.

The big news (or maybe not so big) is our annual Wimbledon loser Tim Henman is back playing Tennis again. Please Tim don't do the clenched fist it just doesn't work for you.

I'd better mention Rugby League and Champions St Helens seem to be getting their act going with a good win against Bradford Bulls on Friday night at Knowsley Road. Airliebirds team Hull have a tough match today against Wakefield Wildcats so for her I'll wish them luck.

Me again with another comment about Hull FC as you mentioned them in this post. Thanks for your good luck wishes, but we where abysmal today......at least we cant get any worse and it still is only 4 matches in. Keeping the Faith :)

As you say only 4 matches I'm sure they will soon get their act together.
