A little harder to come up with great acts starting with the letter V, but here goes :-
1. The Verve "The Drugs Don't Work" - I like this one from Richard Ashcrofts group.
2. Ricky Valance "Tell Laura I love her" - No1 in 1960 for this one hit wonder.
3. The Vibrators "Automatic Lover" - Punk Classic made No35 in 1978.
Sorry baby doll, but none of the above appeal to me.

I did almost post Frankie Valli and the only other I come up with was Suzanne Vega.
What about Van Halen , come on Mick they should have got a mention.
